Tasks
Task 1.
First Aid: In the profession of athletic training all individuals must become and remain certified in first aid and CPR/AED training. Over the past few years there have been many studies that point towards changing the training and the protocols. Recently the protocols for CPR/AED have been changed and are now different than what most poeple have learned. The first task in this project is to use the internet and research the new protocols and to create the first section of the binder. This first section should contain the new protocols of CPR/AED. Each student should also use the internet as a way of finding one related article from a professional journal or professional source. The article can cover any area of CPR/AED including the training, the protocols, studies that have been conducted , or anything else that relates to the topic. Good sources for articles can be found at:
               Journal of Athletic Training
               The Physician and Sportsmedicine

Task 2.
Taping of lower extremities: The one job that is done on a daily basis by athletic trainers is taping. It is used as a management of injury, used in rehabilitation processes, and also used in a way to prevent injuries from happening. The assignment to be covered in this task is to use the internet to find anatomy pictures of the lower extremities (foot, ankle, knee, ect.). The pictures should include both muscles and bones. When it comes to taping every athletic trainer has their techniques, the students should also use the internet to explore different taping techniques and compare them to the ones shown by the instructor. Each student should use the internet to gather pictures of ankle tape jobs and the parts they contain. The section should also contain proper taping preparation procedures. This will be the next section in the binder and there will be examples students can see.

Task 3.
Taping of upper extremities: This task is very similar to task number two. The assignment is to use the internet to find anatomy pictures of the upper extremities (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, ect). The pictures should contain both muscles and bones. Each student should use the internet to gather pictures of wrist tape jobs and the parts they contain. The section should also contain proper taping preparation procedures. This will be the final task in this project and the final section of the students binder that can be used later on in the future as a reference guide.
